William S. Burroughs was an actual maverick and one of the few people on this earth who was truly free. All except that decades long heroin habit, that is. He revolutionized the novel as confessional in a way that Allen Ginsberg changed poetry and Hunter S. Thompson changed journalism.
This documentary is done interview style with people like John Waters, Iggy Pop and Gus Van Sant. It comes out later this fall. Go see it just to watch the old man shoot a gun with the glee of a three year old with his first toy truck.
