Where The Wild Things Are Trailer

This is definitely one to see in the theater and I hope it turns out to be as good as it looks. It was one of my favorite books and the first one I would grab to read to the kids I babysat at bedtime. The magic of Maurice Sendak.

Drag Race Finale Recap

It is finally over and it has been a wonderful ride. Much thanks go out to all of you that have read my recaps and of course RuPaul, for entertaining us week after week. I am hoping that this show will bring about a renewed interest in drag and if it will help bring Wigstock back then it has achieved heights above and beyond a mere reality show. Get Well Soon, Robin Williams

Robin Williams underwent heart valve replacement surgery at the Cleveland Clinic yesterday and he is recovering nicely. Here is the statement from his doctor:

"Mr. Williams' operation went extremely well and we expect him to make a full recovery. The 3 1/2 hour heart surgery was conducted to replace his aortic valve, repair his mitral valve, and correct his irregular heart beat. His heart is strong and he will have a normal heart function in the coming weeks with no limitations on what he'll be able to do.A couple of hours after surgery, he was entertaining the medical team and making us laugh."

He is in good hands. My mother had her heart valve replacement surgery there and she's doing fine a decade later.

R.I.P. Jade Goody

1981- 2009

The Daily Mail in the UK is reporting that Jade Goody lost her battle with cancer early this morning at her home in Upshire, Essex. She is not very well known here in the US but is infamous overseas for her behaviour on the Big Brother reality show, which she won. On the celebrity version of the same show she made racist comment about her co-star Shilpa Shetty who is from India, apologized and then went on the Indian version of the show which she had to leave after being diagnosed with advanced stage cervical cancer. She has spent the last few months filmimg her ordeal for British television to raise awareness for cancer victims and to earn money for her children's future after she is gone. To make things even sadder, today is Mother's Day in England.

Toddler With Performance Anxiety

Okay. This one is kind of hard to watch because the kid is barely two and already has either obsessive compulsive disorder or a really bad teacher. If I were the parent I would take the ball away and give him some crayons instead. But then we wouldn't have this awesomely weird video.
