Watch Baby Hummingbirds LIVE

I've been so down lately but this immediately perked me up. Even my hangover is no match for this impossibly twee and fetchingly pretty scene. It's the new Shiba Inu cam.

Free TV : Ustream

Hairbox Thrillers

This is totally something that I could see myself doing in Duane Reade with Billium in the early 90s.

From WOW Report.

The Grim Reaper Has Been Up To No Good Again

First it was Dio, a true original and inspiration to metal heads like me everywhere. Then it was Mr. McSlore's amazing grandfather. You could fill a book on what he did in the first half of his life alone, kinda like his grandson. Then my cousin got hit by a car and died in the emergency room. Wait, 'hit' isn't the right word. Pulverised, that sounds more accurate. Her car tumbled into a ravine as he skidded to a stop another 50 yards down the road.
So, that's three, right? Enough, but sadly, there's four. The real person that inspired Geena Davis's character in A League of Their Own died last week as well. I love that movie. I was surprised when I realised that we don't own it. We have 'It's Alive' on DVD, but not that? I love my horror too but that is just insane.
Anyhoo, Dottie was old, she'd lived a long life, and she is another one that inspires to this day. So does the movie. If I had a nickel for every time someone says, "There's no crying in ______," I'd have a lot of nickels, maybe even enough for some popcorn and a soda at a game.
Hug and kiss your loved ones. It's what Marla Hooch would have wanted.

Little Girl Super Fan

This is how I feel about Eddie Izzard. I have weird taste, I know.

Baby's First Explosive Candy

I don't have kids but if I did, this is the kind of stuff I would do with them. Too adorable.

Boomer and Dudley, A Love Story

It happened so fast.
Before I knew it we were stealing sniffs in darkened hallways and licking milkbone crumbs off of each other's faces.
Don't be mad. It's not like we planned this or anything.
Dudley's just so...
damn..
cuddly.

I don't mind all the PDA. I don't even mind yin/yang butt snorkling they do almost hourly when they think I'm not looking. It's the age difference that will be hard to overcome in their future. She just turned 7 yesterday and he's 70. Isn't that illegal or something?

Trash Humpers

That is the title of a new strange film by Harmony Korine. I'm guessing that the premise is a comment on American culture and it's love of the lowest common denominator. It looks weird and non-sensical in that art house way that is so popular with film students. The film is so all over the place that it makes Pink Flamingos look like it was written and performed by The Actor's Studio. John Waters will probably give it five stars.

Nasty Fridge

This is just an update from me to you. In case you didn't know, I write recaps for TVgasm. I am doing three this week, followed by two per week until June. Sadly, my blog has suffered because I can't cut back on golf or gardening, now can I?
I'm going to go clean the fridge and then plant some more seeds, and by the looks of some of the gunk in the bottom of the Frigidaire, I could probably accomplish both at the same time. So if you need any thyme, you can pick it fresh, right out of the crisper.
Extra points if you can guess whose fridge the sign was posted on. Hint- They have an 'employee' named Buster.

Chappelle On Man Rape

Shame on you, Mark! You never told me you were in Houston!!

Grab Your Bats And Balls

Ah, yes. It's baseball season again. Time for SportsCenter to be 90% MLB, 8%hockey/basketball playoffs and 2% golf. Time for overpriced beer and praying that the Indians go over .500. Time for bobbleheads and promotional refrigerator magnets. Time for fireworks and ecstatically skipping back to the car after a ninth inning 3-run homer by Grady Sizemore. Time to try to say no to pulled pork and biscuits and pizza and nachos on the box seats level. Time for crawling into bed after eleven bloated and woozy from whatever Great Lakes beer they have on tap.
The good news? Nobody goes to the games anymore. The parking is great, the seats are cheap and if you are downtown with nothing to do, you don't have to worry about the game being sold out. There is one thing you do have to worry about. The freaking mascots. I attended a game a few years back and it just so happened to be on my birthday. My brother and the dork I was dating at the time decided it would be extra special if Cleveland's mascot, Slider, said Happy Birthday to me. He/she grabbed me from behind, rubbing his/her grubby kiddie booger stained wooly mammoth paws all over my face and chest. I had nightmares. No joke. They're still funny from afar, though.

Speaking of Strange Animal Behaviour..

Does the Orca want to play with Sparky or does he want a puppy brunch?

Kick Ass Hit Girl Trailer

There is a tiny uproar in the media over the character of Hit Girl in the new movie Kick Ass. Some say it's just as inappropriate for a pre-teen girl to engage in comic book style violence as it is to show her sexualised in any way. All I have to ask is- would it be any better if it was Hit Boy? Plus, it was a complete shocker to hear words like 'cunts' and 'fuck' come out of her mouth. I'll wait until I see it to pass any sort of judgement on the film but I have to be honest. I laughed. At least she's killing bad guys, right?

My Puppy Army

This is how I feel right now. We've had five dogs for three weeks out of the last four, and I am beginning to lose my mind. It's like the house burned down and I had to move in with the Bumpus's. Throw in a puppy with a UTI that needs to be let out every fifteen minutes and a Corgie mix who thinks that you are his personal slave and you have all the makings of serious writer's block. The good news- I have a new sense of respect for my mother and her ability to raise five kids. The bad news? I may give in to my urge not to lock the gate the next time I let them out to pee.

How Was YOUR Weekend

This lady spent hers running in the surf and swimming with her baby kangaroo friends. I spent mine cleaning up dog piss. I win!

Also, we went to the band lottery show where I proceeded to get wasted because I didn't have time to eat after cleaning the fryer after Mr. McSlore was kind enough to remove the dead bloated mouse from it's contents. Deee-lish wings for dinner? You don't say! Hey, why does this one taste like Mr. Jingles? I thought he was immortal. Waaaah!
Then we went golfing on Sunday and I shot 90. Yay! I have never shot 90 in April, NEVER. It's usually 120, or something in the general 30 handicap range (that I have grown to know very well).
THEN, I am surfing the web without the aid of baby roos and discover that a guy I dated eons ago is on TMZ cuz he beat his wife. That's funny. When we were together, I beat HIM. At everything. He was kinda not-exactly Mensa material.
So, THAT was my weekend. How was yours?
