Bill Hicks American trailer

This looks great. I love and admire this guy so much. He died too young. He could have touched so many more lives.
They are showing this at SXSW. Anyone going? I hope they show it at Bonnaroo. We got the preliminary list of comedians for this year- Margaret Cho, of course. She walked right past us last year and I got a picture of her back. Yay, me! Also, Conan (!!!!!) and Jeffrey Ross. Yes!!! So excited for Triumph to be back. Is anyone else going to Bonnaroo? Other than my usual suspects? You should go if you can.

And Margaret Cho's back:

Was SNL Funny Last Night?

Or did it just seem to be because it has been so terrible this season? Hard to tell. The repeat sketches are getting really old, especially the kissing family and when you have someone as naturally hilarious as Zack Galifianakis, wouldn't you want to put him in every single sketch? I don't get it. I think they need new writers.
These are the bits that I found funny:

Toyota is in serious damage control mode too.

Gone With The Pope

This is a weird little film that was made in 1975 but never finished because the star died during filming. Bob Muralski, the film editor from Drag Me To Hell and The Hurt Locker, found this little gem and cleaned up for release on March 12th at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Here's hoping it goes nationwide. It looks ILL.

Parma State of Mind

When I first moved back to Ohio I spent a year in North Royalton. I hated it. This was before they built Southpark Mall up the road in Strongsville. Nothing to do. Everyone was white and mostly white trash. I thought that I was having trouble living there because of the culture shock but the truth is that it SUCKED. Parma isn't much better. Sad but true.

Thanks, Jim.

Some More Silly For You

There's a guy in Great Britain who is under quarentine for TB. He's bored so he makes a goofy little rap song to pass the time. It is really cute and funny, and easy to relate to if you've been sick for a while like I have been.
Video won't embed so here's the link-

The Dogs Are Too Small

We tried to get a good sled ride by mushing our two under 50 lb dogs. Not so successful. Sorry it's so fuzzy. I'm a novice, as are the puppies since they rode me right into a snowdrift. Wooooo!!!! clunk.

Napa Loves Gaga

The other day Mr. McSlore was at band practice so I decided to have a Youtube evening. I was playing Lady Gaga's Bad Romance and my little boxer mix Napa went bananas. It's usually the baby who hears something and goes all 'huuuhmmmm?' with the cocked head and funny concentration face. Not this time.

Maybe it's the similarity of their names, maybe it's their love for fashion. Maybe they both like to poop outside, I don't know. What I do know is that this video has been watched like 500 billion trillion fifty eleben times. There's people with no food in their cupboards in central Africa that have probably seen this just walking past a storefront. You know it.

Did Michael Jackson Rip Off Bob Fosse?

World of Wonder found this video of Bob Fosse playing the Snake in the Grass from what I presume to be a film adaptation of The Little Prince. Your jaw will drop. This I swear. It is unreal and since MJ was a child in a grown up's body, it is safe to presume that he saw this at some point. You have to watch it. Even the short pants and white spats resemble Jackson's outfit in the Billie Jean video. It's uncanny.

Is This A Joke?

Please tell me that this is a joke. A woman in iowa is getting prosecuted for admitting to paramedics that she CONSIDERED abortion. Those prosecutors should be aborted, because that is completely insane.

Roger Ebert Interview In Esquire

I've been carrying on a secret love affair with this guy since the 'At The Movies with Siskel and Ebert' days. The guy is so smart, so wise and yet a down to earth everyman. Movies are so subjective, there is no way that a critic can bat a thousand. You're lucky if you stay in the majors at about 25%. He is the exception to the rule and should be ranked right along with Pauline Kael, if not a little higher. Read the article, it's well worth your time.

If They Wanted To Make The Point That Hockey Players Are Ugly

A simple picture of Ovechkin would have done quite nicely.
